Occidental Renovation 1
This recent project was a complete renovation of an existing small house in the redwoods of Occidental, Ca. When I arrived, there was a new perimeter foundation being formed and poured, after which I began under-framing the entire structure and adding new siding below. Above I was tearing off old siding, redoing the electrical system, rebuilding all windows, insulating, and adding all new siding, trim, and stain finishing. I also replaced many rotten structural components in the walls and ceiling and replaced all the fascia boards at the roof edge. The inside of the house stayed much as it was, but the whole outside was renovated. An existing deck was also torn out and rebuilt with new concrete footers and retaining walls.
